Service Description
A virtual 45-minute Chair Yoga class. Chair Yoga is a great alternative to so-called "traditional" yoga for those who have issues with balance, range of motion limitations, or simply can't get down on the floor. You will still get the same benefits with Chair Yoga, such as stress reduction, pain relief, joint lubrication, and an improvement in balance and strength. Also, we connect the breath with movements, as we do with any other style of yoga. You'll need a straight-back chair, preferably armless, but it could have arms depending upon your situation. Make sure your chair has no stability issues. You may place your chair on a yoga mat to make certain it won't slip. Other props to have, but aren't necessary, include: blankets or towels, pillows, yoga blocks, and/or a strap. Class is held every Monday at 11:00 am MT for 45 minutes.
