Practice yoga from the comfort of your home! I offer a 60-minute Gentle Flow Yoga class and a 45-minute Chair Yoga class. My winter on-line yoga class schedule begins January, and is as follows:
Gentle Flow Yoga connects individual asanas (poses) with pranayama (breath) in a series of slow, flowing sequences. In this class, the movements are fluid, yet gentle, so it's ideal for those with a chronic condition; but everyone can benefit from the class. The gentle, rhythmic motions also enhance joint mobility and massage the internal organs. There’s an increase in circulation and energy, yet the nervous system calms down. Classes are held on Thursday mornings at 10:30 am, Mountain Time zone, 60-minute class and
Friday mornings at 8:00 am, Mountain Time zone, 60-minute class.
Chair Yoga is a great alternative to so-called "traditional" yoga for those who have issues with balance, range of motion limitations, or simply can't get down on the floor. You will still get the same benefits with Chair Yoga, such as stress reduction, pain relief, joint lubrication, and an improvement in balance and strength. Also, we connect the breath with movements, as we do with any other style of yoga. You'll need a straight-back chair, preferably armless; but it could have arms depending upon your situation. Make sure your chair has no stability issues. You can place your chair on a yoga mat to make certain it won't slip. Other props that you may wish to have, but aren't necessary, include: blankets or towels, pillows, yoga blocks, and/or a strap. Classes are held on Monday mornings at 11:00 am, Mountain Time Zone, 45-minute class.
The group yoga classes are donation-based, so pay what you feel is fair. I accept Venmo (@Jeannine-Love) and Paypal (paypal.me/jlovehealth).
The classes are held on Zoom. Either book a class on my site, or let me know you're interested and I'll email you the Zoom link.
