My Story

Since the 1990s, I have been a therapist and instructor in energy work and bodywork, and I have practiced as an herbalist for 25 years. I had an herb shop 25 years ago and saw a variety of customers, but mostly those with cancer and autoimmune disorders. However, my own personal health issues deepened my interest in complementary therapies. I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the thyroid gland. At the time of my diagnosis, I struggled with low energy and limited mobility, and while thyroid medication helped, it wasn't sufficient for my well-being. Fortunately, I created a healing program that included thyroid medication, specific herbs and supplements, a tailored diet for my constitution, regular yoga practice, and outdoor activities like walking and hiking. I also enjoy gardening and cooking with fresh, organic produce and herbs from my garden.

During my healing journey, I researched autoimmune diseases, and the significant role nutrition plays in our health. Studies indicate that a diet low in plant foods and high in processed foods can lead to chronic inflammation, contributing to various health issues, including an autoimmune disease, heart disease, neurodegenerative disorders (Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ALS, and Multiple Sclerosis), chronic pain, and even cancer. Processed foods, particularly sugar, along with factors like lack of exercise and chronic stress, are major contributors to this inflammation.

From the Ayurvedic perspective, most diseases stem from digestive issues, as everything we consume creates us or harms us. This holistic approach focuses on identifying foods and herbs that align with a person's constitution (Prakruti) and lifestyle to restore balance. By implementing Ayurvedic principles in my diet and lifestyle, I successfully lost weight, regained muscle strength, and as an added bonus - reduced my cholesterol by 34 points.

My mission is to support individuals with autoimmune diseases, helping them feel better and enjoy a more fulfilling life. Reach out to me if you have any questions.
